Summary Job Description The Head of School leads the educational mission of the school, fosters and maintains the school's culture of mutual contribution, nurtures and expands school relationships, and supports the promotion of school awareness in the community. The Head of School is employed by and is accountable to the Board of Trustees (the Board) and is responsible for daily operational management of the school, including but not limited to curriculum and instruction, student life, business affairs, admissions, and advancement, subject to the Board's governance policies and oversight. The Head of School serves as a key spokesperson for the school-either directly or through designated representatives-with primary responsibility for communication with the Board, students, parents, faculty, staff, prospective families, agencies, accrediting bodies, alumni, and vendors. Required : Experience in school administration, preferably school leadership and/or boarding school administration Residence on campus in the Head of School's Residence Classroom teaching experience, preferably teaching middle and high school students. Experience with professional development and pedagogy programming Experience working with governing boards, personnel, school communications and public relations, budgeting, and development operations Experience working in multicultural settings Current certifications and credentialing Engage in campus life on a daily basis Preferred : Advanced degree in education Spanish proficiency Considered : Spouse/partner willing to have a paid role on campus #J-18808-Ljbffr Agupdate
