Knowledge, Skills & Capabilities
• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in oilfield painting
• Must be able to speak, read and write in English and have good communication skills
• Ability to read specs and mix paint accordingly
• Pay strong attention to quality and detail
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in the form of written, oral, or diagram form
• Ability to trouble shoot and diagnose equipment problems
• Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools to perform a range of mechanically oriented functions including independent use of heavy-duty handheld and long-handled tools
Roles and Responsibilities
• Spray paint oilfield equipment, using spray gun to clean grease, dirt, old paint, and rust from equipment.
• Use solvent, water, rags, brushes, pneumatic wire brush, and chipping hammer to clean and prepare surfaces for painting.
• Apply paper and masking tape to protect unpainted surfaces, such as windows and trim.
• Stencil lettering and other identifying information according to specifications.
• Select paint according to company color scheme and specifications.
• Disassemble, paint, and clean equipment, using solvent, wire brushes, and dry cloth.
• Pressure washing of used equipment.
• Work with Shop Personnel, giving them assistance as needed.
• Safely operate forklift to move equipment around the yard.
• Participate in all required meetings, trainings, and development activities.
• Participate in identifying safe and unsafe work practices.
• Additional duties will include routine house cleaning of the yard and shop spaces and equipment, cleaning equipment and moving equipment around the yard.
Strength and Force (minimal requirement)
This position will frequently require 10-50 lbs. of force and rarely require 50+ lbs. of force.

Standing, walking, sitting, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk, and hear, use hands to finger, handle or feel.
Work Environment
The type of environment this position will be exposed to more than 1/3 of the time while on the job (but not limited to): Vibration, Fumes or airborne particles, work near moving mechanical parts, wet or humid conditions (other than weather), outdoor weather conditions, extreme heat (non-weather), and risk of electrical shock.
Noise Environment
The amount of noise for this job is: Very Loud Noise (requires the use of ear plugs)
