Regional Class A Owner Operator at Clean Harbors summary:

The Regional Class A Owner Operator is responsible for operating tractor trailer units on long-haul routes primarily transporting hazardous and non-hazardous waste. The role emphasizes strict adherence to health and safety regulations, proper load securing, and accurate record-keeping including logs and trip reports. Compensation includes mileage pay, hourly demurrage and non-asset rates, with weekly home time and a positive, safety-focused work environment.

Clean Harbors is looking for a OTR Class A Dry Van Owner Operator to join their safety conscious team in Tucker, GA This route runs from Tucker, GA to various locations including Smithfield, KY/ Reidsville, NC/ Lexington, SC / Chattanooga, TN and other areas as needed. Approx. 2500 miles weekly.

About the role:

• Average $200-250K per year
• Weekly home time
• Compensation package includes on-duty time paid via hourly demurrage rates, non-asset hourly rates, and/or mileage pay

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensures that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times
• Operates tractor trailer units
• Adheres to weights and ensures proper utilization of the units
• Ensures proper loading and unloading of hazardous waste/non-hazardous waste; Properly secures the loads
• Placards vehicle in accordance to Company and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements/regulations
• Maintains daily logs, invoicing, time sheets, dispatch and trip reports as well as vehicle inspection reports

QUALIFICATIONS

• Class A CDL
• HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements
• 12+ months of Class A driving experience
• Ability to effectively use required technology such as mobile applications and computer software
