We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer who will be part of our Retail team focused on building iconic customer and associate experience in Intelligent Document Processing modernization. As part of the Technology organization, you will have the opportunity to build Document Center solutions to create best in class developer experiences in bringing business and platform capabilities to market. You will work with fellow associates to understand the real-life challenges of customers document prep before arriving to the store. Customize the Document prep flows and enhance both customer and associate experience and standardize the pre-appointment document upload, review and verify processes. Collaborate with colleagues in product design, product management and systems architecture to develop experimental solutions and bring great ideas to life. Market your innovative ideas internally and evolve them according to feedback and critique within an agile environment. Stay on top of industry trends and best practice to continuously improve what we do and ensure our customer experience is the best it can be. The role involves working collaboratively and creatively as part of a close-knit product team, being part of the Intelligent document processing modernization initiative from end to end: consulting users, carrying out experiments, tackling complex business problems and implementing new products. You can balance customer and CarMax associate needs with business goals and know how to deliver technical solutions that enhance business value. Creative, curious, and highly analytical, you never stop learning and thrive on constant change in the digital marketplace. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience, strong teamwork skills, excellent communication, 5+ years of application development experience, experience with .NET Core/C#/Microsoft Azure, SQL Server and NoSQL, Agile and DevOps methodologies, RESTful APIs, HTML/CSS, GIT, and preferred experience with Front-end architecture, React.js, AI Technologies in Microsoft Stack such as Azure Cognitive Services, and working within a product organization. The role is based in Richmond, VA or Dallas, TX with a hybrid work arrangement. Applicants must be authorized to work in the US full-time without sponsorship.
