Woodberry Forest School, located in Madison, VA, is an exceptional private boarding school community for high school boys in grades nine through twelve. It is one of the top boarding schools in the United States and one of the only all-boys, all-boarding schools in the country. Woodberry's 1,200-acre campus is the largest for boarding schools in Virginia, and one of the largest private school campuses in the country.

WFS coaches instruct and work with athletes to prepare them for competition. Coaches help athletes to play their best individually or as a team in sports such as football, baseball, basketball, lacrosse, track and field, soccer, tennis, and golf. They are experts on the rules, strategies, and techniques of their sports. Coaches must also know about sports equipment, physical fitness and safety.

• Previous experience playing or coaching lacrosse
• Strong knowledge of lacrosse rules, strategies, and techniques
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with the Head Coach
• Schedule flexibility to attend team practices and functions

• As an Assistant Coach, you will work closely with the Head Coach to develop and implement lacrosse strategies, provide guidance and support to players, and help create a positive team culture
• Assist the Head Coach in planning and leading practices and games
• Provide individual and team coaching to players (when available)
• Help develop and implement game strategies and tactics
• Foster a positive team culture and promote good sportsmanship
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all players
• Travel for games, with the potential to drive a school vehicle (as needed)
