Responsibilities:

• Design parts, assemblies, systems, and machines in Solidworks 3D
• Create/modify machine/system layouts in AutoCAD
• Conduct shop floor testing and analyze results to check system readiness
• Support the manufacturing team
• Support the assembly personnel
• Support the installation/service team
• Participate in conceptual design/review
• Oversee project from design start to final installation
• Create and read prints/ layouts
• Create manual/ training material for each project
• Assist sales in quoting
• Assist marketing team with demonstrations
• Assess customer facility before beginning each design
• Assess and reduce risk through design
• Document bill of materials list
• Generate spare parts list for each project
• Update existing designs as modified
• Stay up to date on robot training
• Assess finished product and determine if it is ready for customer
• Document job completion
• Others assigned by manager as necessary

Requirements:

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes
• 3D software knowledge; Solidworks preferred
• ERP/MRP system knowledge preferred
• Ability to problem solve
• Project management skills
• Ability to communicate clearly
• Critical thinking skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• 5-20% traveling

Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree required, Engineering preferred
